Congratulations to Myeesha Perry from Ms. Wanda Ruffin's 6th grade homebase.  She is the winner of the January PBIS basket.  Ms. Perry was so shocked when her name was drawn that she yelled out in class with excitement!  She stated she will be using the chair and goodies as she watches the Super Bowl. 

 

BMS has upgraded its Accelerated Reader program to a program called Renaissance Place.  This program has a special feature called Home Connect.  Home Connect is a fun, easy-to-use, easy-to-understand web-based interface that allows you to view your childs progress while outside of school. 

 

Simply:

Log on the Internet

type in the following web address:  https://Hosted32.renlearn.com/2369554/HomeConnect/Login.aspx

It will require a username and password, which your child can provide.

Once in the site, you can set up e-mail addresses of individuals you wish to receive e-mails showing the students quiz or test results.

 

You will also find the link www.arbookfind.com located on the bottom right of your screen.  This shows whether there is an Accelerated Reader test for any particular book you wish to search.

 

Too, there is a help tab located at the top right to answer any questions you may have.  If you need additional assistance, please call 794-2143 and speak with Mrs. Pamela Baker, BMS Media Specialist.

CARE (Caring About Reaching Everyone) is a daily 30 minute supervised reading program at BMS.  During this time, students build character traits, enjoy leisure reading and participate in literacy circles.
